November days (and a couple of forgotten October pics)

Out-smarting mommy to get his Halloween candy...

Clara's always had her own sense of fashion, and I just love seeing her confidence in what she puts on.  These red glasses with no lenses have become a staple of her outfits lately, and I just LOVE them on her!!

I want to always remember this fun, sweet stage with my 7 year old girl!  She fell in love with horses this summer at a horse camp, and talks about someday owning her own horse.....

Isaiah is all about accessories these days!  He piles on as many things as he can find....every one in the family's shoes, headbands, bracelets, bags/purses, swords, hats, cell phones....

I found an old cell phone that he had stashed into his coat pocket the other day....just like Daddy!

PaPa brought this wooden horse over for Isaiah, and he calls it "PaPa Horsey"

These two still have their knock-down, drag-out fights, but they are beginning to enjoy playing together a lot more!

This kid amazes me in her need to be busy and working all.the.time!!!  She climbed up on the dryer, and I found her cleaning and scrubbing my dust pan!  She just loves to have a project and works so hard!

Uncle Joey and cousin Chloe stayed for a few days before Thanksgiving, and the kids had a great time dressing up, pretending, and playing together...

 

 

Clara loves to draw (half of her school work is covered in doodles and artwork!)  She copied this from a picture on a card game...

 She is always constructing interesting houses for her little creatures...

 I love finding her creations, just wish she would clean them up!  She is very into the process of creating....not so interested in the clean-up part!

We enjoyed a fun Thanksgiving weekend in Bend with LOTS of friends and family, put up the Christmas tree this past weekend, Hannah celebrates her 6th birthday tomorrow, and then the Christmas festivities begin!

Happy Halloween!!

The pumpkin patch pictures are all on Joe's camera, so we'll just start here with the carving.  The scooping and carving is Joe's specialty.....I'm the one who digs through the goop to pick out the tiny seeds to roast!  The older girls actually did a lot of it themselves this year, which was nice since there were 4 pumpkins to carve!  I didn't notice until morning, but Isaiah's pumpkin was all scooped out, but never carved! It sat that way on our porch through Halloween! 

We spent a fun night trick-or-treating with the Balkcum girls!  Our girls got to experience sprinting from house to house for the first time, and had to stop only because their buckets were overflowing with candy!  Joe and I went a little more slowly between houses with Isaiah, and eventually Lizzie got tired and joined us to walk between the houses.  After the first house, Isaiah had it down, and couldn't believe that he could just knock on the doors and people would let him grab from huge bowls of candy! He loved it!!
