Happy 8th Birthday, Clara!

Clara has been dying to try Lucky Charms cereal for a long time now, so what better morning for a treat than a birthday?!  She told me it was the "best birthday present ever!!"  I'll have to remember that next year before I go shopping! ;)
Isaiah was up early with me to make the requested scones, strawberries and homemade whipped cream!
We had a fun birthday play date with some of our favorite friends.  These girls sure know how to dress-up and LOVE pretending to be princesses!
Clara came up with a fun birthday party idea that truly fit her personality!  We made a couple fun trips to Value Village and stocked up on princess dresses, hats, purses, high heels and jewelry.  The girls chose their attire, stage names, and then wrote a script for a short film featuring many princesses and one cowgirl...
The animal/bug lovers playing with caterpillars between scenes....
Daddy asking all the actresses for their autograph....
The film finished with a change of clothes into play clothes for a finale on the trampoline!
We filmed the movie and invited the families back to watch the movie with popcorn and celebrate with cake and ice cream.  Clara said it was the "best day ever"!!
Happy Birthday to our sweet 8 year old.  You have continued to be joy and sweetness in our family.  You are quick to share and are a true peace maker.  You let each of your friends choose a dress at your party before you found one for yourself.  You look out for your sisters and brother and get very worried if you think they might be doing something dangerous.  You are very cautious, and I love that about you!! We need one cautious kid in this family :)  You will have Hannah and Eliza, and even sometimes Isaiah, go first doing a new jump or trick before you decide that it is safe enough for you to try!  You are an excellent "jumper", jumping constantly on the trampoline, or from one piece of furniture to another, and recently you have been jump roping like crazy!  You've become more comfortable in classroom settings, raising your hand to answer questions and volunteering to stand in front of the class to recite bible verses or things you have written.   You make us laugh all the time!!!  Daddy and I have both started enjoying time with you in long conversations and you have so many interesting things to tell us about life.  You are starting to hang out with the adults at times while the younger kids are all playing, but you still love to get into a long game of pretending and orchestrate all the fun in our home.  You love to draw animals and give them all names and stories.  You love horses!!!  You continue to show a deep love for Jesus and learning more about him.  We love you so very much!!!!!!
