HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY, CLARA!!!

Clara chose the theme of "Tarzan" this year for her birthday. She has been walking around on all fours lately and beating her chest while making a great Tarzan yell! She wants to swing in the trees and realized the other day that her hair is "kind of wild like Tarzan's"! I couldn't find anything that was specifically Tarzan, so we went with a jungle theme. Our small group helped us celebrate Clara's special day. We realized that when we started meeting the only kids were the twins, still running around in diapers. Now we have 13 kids with two more on the way.....the kids have outnumbered the adults!!! The kids decorated safari hats and searched the yard for wild animal cards to match to their game sheet. Then they jumped like wild monkeys on the trampoline!

These are some of the things I think about when I think about Clara at age 4:

*She is extremely creative, always pretending and making up games for Hannah to follow

*She is pretty goofy, telling knock-knock jokes and making silly faces and voices

*She is a good big sister, helping Hannah turn on lights, and getting things for her that she can't reach, sharing her food, toys, and even her birthday money, holding Eliza and dancing for her to make her happy, and letting her pull on her hair

*She has started writing her letters and asking me what it spells, and she loves to draw pictures of animals, people, and things she remembers from movies

*movies, movies, and more movies! She wants to see every movie that she hears about, and then usually pretends that her animals are characters from whichever movie she has most recently watched

*wears dresses daily and loves her stuffed animal dogs!

*still likes to be held at times and snuggled in bed at night.....I hope that one never changes!!!
