Celebrating 9 years of marriage! Joe planned a perfect date for our anniversary last night....a little walk (or in our case, run) down memory lane! We started with a jog around Greenlake. As we started out, Joe said, "Do you know how many times you dragged me around this lake?" It wasn't until months after we started dating, that I learned that Joe was not actually a "runner". He had always played sports, but never saw running as a hobby. I had no idea, as he played it off well, and went running with me from the beginning....but apparently suffered through those first few months!
After running, we headed over to Red Mill Burgers-a favorite of ours from when I lived in the Greenwood area. We had the best burgers, onion rings, and boysenberry milkshakes, of course! We took our food to go, and drove to this lookout above Golden Gardens that we used to go to. We ate in the car, watching the sunset, and talked about our current and future plans for ourselves, our kids, and our family....
He is still my very best friend!
